92% Compliance Accuracy with AI Document Intelligence
Transforming Financial Compliance Operations with Intelligent Document Processing
Client Overview
A leading financial services company in the United States partnered with Prakash Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to modernize and streamline its compliance operations.
In addition, the firm handled thousands of regulatory and financial documentations per day including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), audit documentation, disclosure forms, onboarding, and contract amendment among others. Due to the expanding business portfolio into different business units by the firm, manual handling of such documentation was becoming hard.
The compliance team was taking much time to sort, handle, and route these documents rather than carrying out investigations and regulatory analysis. Delay in handling of such documentation added more pressure to the process as well as posed risks.
The client wanted a scalable intelligent document processing solution that could automatically classify and route documents with high accuracy while maintaining complete transparency and regulatory oversight.

The Challenge
The client’s compliance division had been dealing with thousands of document entries per day from various sources such as scanned PDFs, e-mails, portals, spreadsheets, and third-party integrations.
However, the greatest difficulty lay in the inconsistent nature of documents. A similar compliance document could be found in an entirely varied format based on business units or types of customers.
It had become increasingly challenging to scale the existing manual process. Analysts in the compliance team spent their time classifying, validating, and routing the documents rather than conducting the actual analysis for which they were assigned.
Some of the major challenges included:
- Managing over 40 types of regulatory and compliance documents
- Large volume of unstructured and semi-structured documents
- Delay in documents reviewing and routing processes
- Problem of identifying vague documents and incorrect classification
- Accurate compliance and audit-readiness maintenance
- Current rule-based automated system inability to cope with variability of documents
The client needed a smarter solution capable of understanding document context and intent rather than relying only on keywords or predefined templates.
โThe objective was not simply to automate document handling. We also needed to assist the compliance teams in reducing their administrative burden so that they can concentrate on reviewing those aspects of the operation which need human intervention.
The whole time during our implementation process, we kept in close communication with the stake holders in order to make sure that our solution is both scalable and practical from the standpoint of compliance operations.โ

How PSSPL Helped
We developed an intelligent document processing platform for our customer that would automate all the tasks of document classification, validation, and routing within their compliance processes.
By applying traditional automation solutions, we decided to apply training to the system based on document history and existing processes in the company. The approach made it possible for the platform to get to know compliance nuances.
The solution was built within the clientโs Microsoft Azure environment to ensure secure processing, scalability, and compliance with U.S. financial data governance standards. With the introduction of explainable AI, the process of understanding how the classifications were being made became much easier for the compliance team.
